World Bank Data with data360r

NB This is a revamp of a previous post The World Bank is a great source of economic and social data. A couple of years ago, I used it to create a shiny app which still appears to work!

GG what!

The ggplot2 package and its extensions dominate the R visualization landscape, particularly for static charts It got me thinking about how rare was that combination of two ’g’s to start a word - at least in the English language. Luckily, there is a source on github extracted from an infochimps source Not exactly a mind-blowing exercise, but a useful way to use a few techniques from the tidyverse

EPL Week 2

Round 2 Not so many shocks in Round 2. Three teams remain with 100% records. Manchester United have looked the most impressive and it is not until week 8 that they meet any of the five teams that finished above them last year. Huddersfield manager David Wagner will probably just be grateful to have six points in the bag so soon and Tony Pulis will be looking to put his feet up even earlier than usual as his WBA teams tend to do once they reach the 40 point safety level
